Mühendislik Fakültesi - The Situation of Istanbul City for the Expected Marmara Earthquake in the Vicinity of Smart Cities
Özet Bilgi
This presentation covers the studies conducted for the city of Istanbul regarding the earthquake loss assessment and quick response that are in engagement with the ongoing smart-city system of the city. Based on the HAZTURK software which was developed by the author the data required and the analyses run is mentioned including the studies of production of the deterministic earthquake hazard maps, estimation of earthquake losses for the buildings, bridges, infrastructures, and the secondary effects of the earthquake as the road blockages, fire following earthquakes, and the post-earthquake requirements for optimum temporary shelter and assembly area determinations, emergency road design regarding the earthquake response and finally retrofit and urban transformation area selection for the city is mentioned in the study.
The studies and the application concept of them into the newly developing smart-city system of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will be covered.
